Jan. 17, 2006 - 2:20 p.m.

So I got my Spanish midterm back.

Let's just say...I am no longer taking Spanish.

Which means that I've had to completely rearrange my schedule, which is okay because I picked up two easy courses. The rearranging also helped me notice some severe shortages in my courseload. If i hadn't noticed, next year would have been hell.

Today, I have astronomy class but I'm not going. It's raining and I'm still sick. (Cough Cough)

Last night, as I was surfing le net, something caught my attention out of the corner of my eye. Something that looked like this.

Sorry if I scared you.

Anyway, so every so often, I see one of these bugs in my house and I just go up and kill it.

About a month ago, I had an encounter I will never forget. About one foot away from me, and it was freaking HUGE. Like two inches, at least. Holy fuck. So after running away, screaming like a girl, I grabbed a whole lot of kleenex and went for it.

I missed and it went into hiding. Great. So for the last month, I've been sleepless, having nightmares about giant bugs crawling into my ears.

Last night, it showed up again in the same spot. This time, there was no screaming. Just a overwhelming sense of urgency and determination. I grabbed...the vaccuum.

I finally got it. I can now rest in peace.

Edit: I found an article on this creature. It is called the Scutigera-Coleoptrata, or house centipede. Like the writer of this article, it is the scariest thing I have EVER seen in my house. Thank god it only feeds on other insects and not humans. The writer also noticed that the house centipede seems to have an extraordinary psychic ability to sense when it is about to be killed. So many times I've left to get kleenex and come back and they've been gone. Creepy as shit. I'm cowering as I sit here typing this.

Day 2-I've got to shake this cold. I've been coughing so hard that I have given my abs a serious workout. Yesterday at skating, I was so close to getting my triple lutz back but my abs were sore. I think I may have torn something. Is this how hernias happen?

Note to self: Check for hernia.
